November 2019- Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley National Park, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park
In November we traveled out west to Las Vegas where we stayed a few nights exploring the city before taking a road trip to see some of the National Parks. From Las Vegas we took a drive to near by Red Rock Canyon for some awesome hiking and pictures! Next day we drove the Death Valley National Park- Badwater Basin is a must see, it a recorded as the lowest point below sea level in North America! After our stay in Las Vegas, we ended up taking a detour to visit the Hoover Dam, which is definitely worth seeing.
Next we drove to Springdale, Utah where we booked a hotel for a few nights near the entrance to the Zion National Park. From there we did day trips to Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, and Bryce National Park. We also took yet another detour to check out the Horseshoe Bend in Arizona, such a gorgeous view!! All these parks had incredible views, each one beautiful and unique in their own way.

March 2019- Rome, Italy

This March we spent a week in Rome! The weather was beautiful and so was the city!
This is a huge city with so much history, so much to see...and eat! Everyday we had a full schedule of things to sight see as we wanted to see as much as possible. We spent our first day walking around the city and vising the Pantheon. Next we spent a full day in Vatican City, visiting all the museums, we made it to the top of the dome in the St Peter's Basilica! And we even got to see the Pope in St. Peter's Square! Our third day was spent in Ancient Rome vising the Colosseum, Forum, and Capitoline Hill. The following day was spent walking around the Borghese Gallery and shopping!

After a few days in Rome, we rented a car and drove down to Pompeii. We spent the day walking around the city and took a trip to the top of Mt. Vesuvius. It was a tough walk up but so worth it! After our climb to the top we spent the night in Sorrento, and the following day drove through the Amalfi Coast which has the most breath taking views! So worth the trip!

December 2018- San Juan, Puerto Rico.

At the end of November, we took a quick weekend trip to Puerto Rico. Even though it was a quick trip, we had a ton of fun walking the streets of Old San Juan, visiting the Castillo San Felipe del Morro and San Juan Gate, eating local foods (always a must for us), and of course getting in some beach time. There is so much to do on this beautiful island, and because our trip was short we did not get to do everything. But that just means we will have to go back!

October 2018- Stopover in Paris
In October we enjoyed a 3 day stopover in Paris! Though it was a quick stay, it was jam packed with activities as there was so much to see! We strolled through the Jardin de Tuileries and walked along the Seine River. We visited Les Invalides, which contains museums and monuments all related to France's military history and where the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte stands. We saw the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum and watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night when we took a boat ride in the evening. Paris at night is beautiful! We also didn't want to miss the Notre Dame Cathedral or the Fontaine Saint-Michel. We always love trying new foods so when in Paris we tried foie gras and brie de Meaux, both delicious.  The cake on the top though was watching Moulin Rouge! Such a great show!

July 2018- Nashville, Tennessee
Nashville, the Music City! And also home to amazing biscuits and hot fried chicken that we're still thinking of two weeks later! You do not need to be a country music fan to enjoy this beautiful and fun city, with live bands playing in every bar/restaurant and delicious food at every turn. During our visit we enjoyed plenty of music, walks in the city- we walked the John Seigenthaler Pedestrain Bridge, went on a hike at the Radnor Lake State Park, pedaled our way through the city streets while pedaling, dancing, and drinking all at the same time with the Sprocket Rocket Party Bike, and enjoyed a great show at the Grand Ole Opry!

June 2018- Lima and Cusco, Peru
Last month we traveled to Peru to visit the beautiful Machu Picchu!
We traveled with a small group with an escorted tour, which is great way to see A LOT in a short amount of time with no worries about  transportation.

Our trip began in Lima, Peru, where we stayed for two nights. We visited the tourist district of Miraflores and saw the Pacific Ocean from the Love Park. Our tour continued with the suburb of San Isidro and a visit to the pre-Inca pyramid Huaca Huallamarca. We then visited the Historical Center, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. So much history here!!

Next we were transferred to the airport for our flight to Cusco, for a two night stay near the ruins of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here we had a full day excursion to Chincheros and Ollantaytambo. Chincheros is a traditional Andean town with many attractions- Inca ruins, Andean village houses, an elaborate colonial church built on Inca foundation, and a lively weekly market. Ollantaytambo is a massive citadel which served as a temple and a fortress and the only battle at which the Incas held off the Spanish!

The following day we were transferred from Cusco to a train station in Ollantaytambo where we boarded a train to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World! Our tour included every nook and cranny of this amazing site! This was definitely a memorable experience, one we will never forget!

March 2018- California
As NY was hit with snow after snow, we traveled to  Huntington Beach, California for some sun and adventures. There is so much to see in California! We took a day trip to San Diego and visited the Balboa Park, which has some really interesting and beautiful plants! We also took a trip to see Hollywood to look at the stars in the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as the Hollywood Sign, the Griffith Observatory is a great place to see the view of LA as well as catching a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign!
Joshua Tree Park
If you are in the LA area, this is a must see! The Joshua Tree Park is located about two and a half hours away from LA, but is worth the drive, especially if you love hiking! It is beautiful!!
White Sands National Monument, New Mexico
This is one stop we did not plan, but so glad we did. The White Sands National Monument is located in New Mexico and it's the largest gypsum dunefield in the world! Miles and miles of white sands, it is both beautiful and incredible! Even though the temperature was pretty high, the sand felt so cool, not like regular sand at the beach that burns your feet when walking barefoot. Amazing!
