March 2018- California As NY was hit with snow after snow, we traveled to Huntington Beach, California for some sun and adventures. There is so much to see in California! We took a day trip to San Diego and visited the Balboa Park, which has some really interesting and beautiful plants! We also took a trip to see Hollywood to look at the stars in the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as the Hollywood Sign, the Griffith Observatory is a great place to see the view of LA as well as catching a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign! Joshua Tree Park If you are in the LA area, this is a must see! The Joshua Tree Park is located about two and a half hours away from LA, but is worth the drive, especially if you love hiking! It is beautiful!! White Sands National Monument, New Mexico
This is one stop we did not plan, but so glad we did. The White Sands National Monument is located in New Mexico and it's the largest gypsum dunefield in the world! Miles and miles of white sands, it is both beautiful and incredible! Even though the temperature was pretty high, the sand felt so cool, not like regular sand at the beach that burns your feet when walking barefoot. Amazing!
